Discipleship - Praying regularly for the effective working of the Spirit in the lives of fellow-believers, encouraging and upholding one another in our obedience to the Scriptures. Providing a structure for every believer to have specific instruction for Christian living, designed to train people in what it means to know and be committed to Christ, learn to minister effectively in the Body, and make Christ known.

Evangelism - Praying regularly and specifically for the salvation of the lost. Preparing people for effective witnessing through teaching, modeling, and outreach opportunities throughout the church's ministry; Promoting a healthy desire for personal witnessing to family, friends and colleagues.

Bible Teaching - We are determine to keep the Bible as foundational to all teaching, from the pulpit to personal life-development, and in all related ministry functions. Many of our pastors and spouses have chosen to be co-pastors in the church. The husband is actually the lead pastor but giving a place of respect for his spouse, as they are one. Co-pastors often share in the goals and vision of the church, sometimes filling the pulpit or sharing a word of encouragement to the body. Most co-pastors allow the lead pastor, which is usually the husband, to assume the business responsibilities, counseling, and be more visible in the regular duties of a pastor.

SPIRITUAL LAWS FOR MANTLES AND ANOINTINGS JOEL 2:29-31; Acts 2:16-21 Galatians 3:28

Isaiah 40:5 

And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

There are spiritual laws that govern the use of Mantles and Anointings.

We should have both. 

What we do from the anointing to the mantle is important.

You are on a journey and in a process that cannot be rushed

You need to position yourself to receive that mantle

You need to respect the people in authority who have the mantle.

You need to honor them

You need to serve under them once you realize they have the mantle that you are destined to wear

Learn all that you can from them as you are serving

Wait for your turn because it is coming

Shepherd's mantle

A shepherd's primary responsibility is the safety and welfare of the flock.

Shepherds used his rod (or crook) in leading the flock, to manage and help them and to defend them against wild animals. ... A shepherd uses his rod or his staff to protect the sheep from animals that might harm them. The Bible tells about how the young shepherd David protected his sheep from a lion and a bear.

Psalm 23 is the 23rd psalm of the Book of Psalms, generally known in English by its first verse, in the King James Version, "The Lord is my Shepherd". ... The writer describes God as his shepherd, in the role of protector and provider. 

The sheep owner frequently tends the flocks himself (Genesis 4:4; 30:40; compare Ezekiel 34:12), but more often he delegates the work to his children (Genesis 29:9; 1 Samuel 16:19; 17:15) or relatives (Genesis 31:6). 

In such cases the sheep have good care because the keepers have a personal interest in the well-being of the animals, but when they are attended by a hireling (1 Samuel 17:20) the flocks may be neglected or abused (Isaiah 56:10,11; Ezekiel 34:8,10; Zechariah 11:15,17; John 10:12). The chief care of the shepherd is to see that the sheep find plenty to eat and drink. The flocks are not fed in pens or folds, but, summer and winter, must depend upon foraging for their sustenance (Psalms 23:2). 

Jesus is spoken of as the good shepherd (John 10:14); chief shepherd (1 Peter 5:4); great shepherd (Hebrews 13:20); the one shepherd (John 10:16). "He will feed his flock like a shepherd, he will gather the lambs in his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and will gently lead those that have their young" (Isaiah 40:11) is a picture drawn from pastoral life of God's care over His children

WHAT IS A MANTLE?

The Hebrew word for mantle is ‘addereth

Definition is glory, cloak, glory, splendour, magnificence (of a vine, shepherds), mantle, cloak made of fur or fine material prophet’s garment, robe.

See ( 1 Kings 19:13 1 Kings 19:19 ; 1 Kings 2:8 1 Kings 2:13 ) This is the one worn by Elijah.

Based on these definitions we see that the mantle is a symbol of authority and position.  

WHAT COMES WITH THE MANTLE?

Power

Position

Authority

Protection

Respect

WHAT’S THE ANOINTING?

The Hebrew word is Mashiyach and it means anointed, anointed one

So, the take away is this, when you have an anointing it can come and go. With the mantle it is in position of authority and you can operate with no anointing.

We know that King Saul was wearing the mantle of King.  We also know that David was also anointed King before King Saul died. With that said, here’s how you need to consider mantles and anointings.

David had the anointing to be King, but Saul had the mantle

Elisha was anointed to be the prophet of the land, but Elijah had the mantle

You can actually function and operate in an anointing and not have a mantle. 

We should have both. And we should obey God’s spiritual laws that are in place by not cursing the person wearing the mantle or we will call judgement upon ourselves as we read before in Romans 13:1-7.

I believe every single one of us was born to wear some level of anointing and mantle.  All of us.  God is no respecter of persons so we all have a purpose and a position in life. 

THE PROGRESSION AND LEVELS OF YOUR MANTLE

Mantles and Anointings have a progression.

Let’s use Joseph as an example, the first mantle was the coat of many colors from his father.  His brothers took it when they sold him into slavery (Genesis 37:23).  Does this mean that they stole it from him? No.  You can’t steal someone’s mantle.  I think God put that there for us to see his progression which means he moved from one position to another, one level to another. Then he got a second mantle when he became the chief in Potiphar’s household. In Genesis 39:15-16, we see that when Potiphar’s wife accused him of rape he left that mantle and ran.  Again, he changed his mantle!  Then his final mantle was given when he became Prime Minister of Egypt (Genesis 41:42)
